What size LED drop ceiling light do I need?
Jarvis drop ceiling lights are available in 2×2 foot and 2×4 foot sizes to match standard suspended ceiling grid openings. Measure the existing ceiling grid opening or the fixture you are replacing. 2×4 is the most common size for offices and commercial spaces. 2×2 is typical for smaller offices, exam rooms, and spaces with square grid layouts.
Will Jarvis drop ceiling lights fit my existing grid?
Yes. The Jarvis JLP panel series fits both 9/16-inch narrow T-bar and 15/16-inch standard T-bar ceiling grids without adapters. The JTRF troffer series uses a standard housing width compatible with all standard grid systems. If you're not replacing the fixture but keeping the existing housing, the JSK magnetic retrofit kit fits 99.9% of existing troffers.
What is the difference between a backlit panel and a troffer?
A backlit panel (Jarvis JLP-SL series) is a flat, frameless fixture that produces very uniform light through a diffuser — slim profile, no visible grid pattern. A troffer (Jarvis JTRF series) has a recessed housing similar to a traditional fluorescent troffer. Both deliver comparable performance; the choice is primarily aesthetic. Panels provide a more modern, clean-ceiling appearance. Troffers are a direct form-factor match for existing fluorescent troffers.
