Yes. Jarvis offers two retrofit approaches: the JTRFRK troffer retrofit luminaire slides into your existing troffer housing and covers all original components with a new diffuser. The JSK magnetic strip kit snaps into place inside the existing housing using magnetic clips — no modifications to the fixture body. Both retrofit methods reuse the existing housing, eliminating disposal costs and reducing installation time to 5–10 minutes per fixture.

Yes. The Jarvis JLP panel series is designed with edge profiles that fit both 9/16-inch narrow T-bar and 15/16-inch standard T-bar ceiling grids. The JTRF troffer series uses a standard housing width compatible with all standard grid systems. No grid adapters or modifications are needed for either product line.

Yes. All Jarvis LED troffers and panels are DLC-qualified under DesignLights Consortium V5.1 standards. Typical utility rebates range from $15 to $50 per fixture. For large retrofit projects with 50+ fixtures, cumulative rebates can cover 20–40% of total fixture cost. Jarvis provides DLC product IDs and IES files for rebate documentation.

Yes. All Jarvis troffers and panels support 0-10V dimming and are compatible with external occupancy and daylight sensors. The JTRF and JLP-GP series accept Jarvis PhotoMotion sensors that mount into the fixture's sensor port for automatic on/off and dimming based on room occupancy and ambient daylight. This meets ASHRAE 90.1 and most energy code requirements for automatic lighting controls in commercial spaces.

A full troffer replacement (JTRF or JLP-SL series) delivers the highest efficacy and a clean, modern appearance — recommended for new construction, renovations, and ceilings in good condition. Installation takes 10–15 minutes per fixture. A retrofit kit (JTRFRK or JSK series) reuses the existing housing, replacing only lamp and ballast components — faster (5–10 minutes) and lower cost per position. For buildings with 100+ troffers, retrofit labor savings can exceed the per-fixture cost difference. For fewer fixtures or aesthetic upgrades, full replacement is the better investment.

A 2×4 3-lamp T8 troffer draws approximately 99W including ballast. The Jarvis JTRF troffer or JLP-SL panel at 40–54W provides comparable or better illumination at 45–60% less energy.
