LED Wall Pack Lights

Full cutoff wall packs (Jarvis WPF Series) emit zero light above the horizontal plane, meeting dark-sky compliance and all current exterior lighting codes. Semi-cutoff wall packs (Jarvis WMFT Series) allow some uplight and project light farther from the wall — better for loading docks and building entries, but may not meet full-cutoff code requirements in some jurisdictions. The Jarvis LUMOS series with patented FlexPack™ technology offers a 2-position adjustable mount allowing the same fixture to function as either forward-throw or downlight. When in doubt, specify full cutoff.

If the project is in an IDA-designated dark-sky community, a full-cutoff wall pack is required. Many municipalities have also adopted exterior lighting codes requiring full cutoff since 2019, and ASHRAE 90.1-2019 includes exterior uplight restrictions. The Jarvis WPF Series is fully dark-sky compliant with zero uplight. Check your local lighting ordinance — if it references dark-sky or BUG ratings, specify full cutoff.

A 50W HPS (~66W system) is replaced by the Jarvis WPF at 20W (70% reduction). A 70W HPS (~95W) by the WPF at 30W (68%). A 150W HPS (~190W) by the WPF or WMFT at 50–60W (68–74%). A 250W metal halide (~295W) by the WMFT at 80W (73%). A 400W metal halide (~458W) by the WMFT at 100–120W (74–78%). System wattages include ballast draw.

Yes. Most Jarvis wall pack series can be ordered with an integrated dusk-to-dawn photocell that automatically turns the fixture on at dusk and off at dawn. For more advanced control, Jarvis wall packs support 0-10V dimming and are compatible with external occupancy sensors and the JarvisLink networked lighting control system for scheduled dimming, motion response, and daylight harvesting.

Standard wall pack mounting height is 8–15 feet above grade, measured to the center of the fixture. At 8–10 feet, a 20–40W full cutoff wall pack provides adequate perimeter illumination. At 12–15 feet, 50–80W is typical. Mounting above 15 feet is not recommended for wall packs — use an area light or flood light on a wall-mount tenon bracket instead for higher mounting positions.

Yes. The Jarvis WPFT-E and AL-EMER series include integrated emergency battery backup providing 90 minutes of illumination during power failure, meeting IBC and NEC life safety egress lighting requirements. The battery charges during normal operation and activates automatically on AC power loss. This eliminates the need for separate emergency fixtures on exterior walls where both general and egress lighting are required.
